  1. Scope and definitions
2.1 These Terms govern the use of Surenest.de and the tools offered on the website (questionnaire, informational displays, calculators).

2.2 “User” means any person using the website and/or tools.
2.3 “Pass” means time-limited access (7/14/30 days) to paid features.

  1. Service description (educational information)
3.1 Surenest provides an educational information and calculation tool. Users receive considerations and pros/cons information about insurance options and calculation outputs (e.g., lifetime premium projections).
3.2 Surenest does not broker insurance contracts and does not enable the purchase of insurance via the website.
3.3 The content is not individualised insurance advice and does not constitute legal or tax advice. It does not replace advice from licensed professionals. Users make decisions at their own discretion and responsibility.

  2. Health-related information (special category data)
4.1 The questionnaire may include health-related questions (e.g., pre-existing conditions, BMI outside a defined range, psychological/psychiatric treatment within the last 5 years).
4.2 These questions are used to display relevant considerations within the tool and are processed only based on the user’s explicit consent as described in the Privacy Policy: www.surenest.de/en/privacy-policy

  3. Eligibility and user obligations

5.1 You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into contracts.
5.2 You should provide accurate and up-to-date information where necessary to generate meaningful outputs.

  1. Free and paid features (freemium)
6.1 Certain features are available free of charge. Additional input fields/features may be unlocked for a fee.

6.2 The specific feature scope and prices are shown on the website.

  1. Contract formation, Pass term, no subscription
7.1 A contract for a Pass is concluded when you complete checkout and we confirm payment (e.g., on-screen confirmation and/or email).
7.2 Passes have a fixed duration of 7, 14, or 30 days. The term starts when paid features are activated/made available (typically immediately after payment confirmation) and ends automatically when the term expires.

7.3 There is no automatic renewal and no subscription. You may purchase a new Pass after expiry.

  1. Pricing and payment

8.1 The prices displayed during checkout apply (including VAT where applicable).
8.2 Payments are processed via Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Limited). Available payment methods are shown during checkout.
8.3 We typically do not store full card/bank details; payment details are processed by the payment provider (see Privacy Policy: www.surenest.de/en/privacy-policy).

  1. Right of withdrawal (consumers)
9.1 Consumers generally have a statutory right of withdrawal. Details (period, how to exercise, consequences) are provided in the Withdrawal Policy: www.surenest.de/en/withdrawal-policy
9.2 For digital services, the right of withdrawal may—depending on the setup and subject to legal requirements—expire early and/or pro-rata compensation may apply if you expressly request performance to start before the withdrawal period ends. The Withdrawal Policy and checkout disclosures are authoritative.

  2. Term, expiry and termination
10.1 Passes are provided for a fixed term of 7, 14, or 30 days and end automatically when the term expires. There is no automatic renewal and no subscription.
10.2 Because Passes are fixed-term and do not renew automatically, there is generally no separate “cancellation” function. Your access simply ends when the term expires. Statutory rights (in particular the right of withdrawal for consumers, where applicable) remain unaffected.
10.3 We may suspend access or terminate for cause if you materially breach these Terms (e.g., misuse, circumvention of access controls, prohibited use) or if this is necessary to protect the security and integrity of our systems.

  3. Availability and changes
11.1 We aim for high availability. Temporary limitations may occur (maintenance, security measures, technical issues).
11.2 We may modify or improve features for technical, security, legal, or product reasons. We will not materially reduce paid core functionality during an active Pass term without a valid reason.

  4. Intellectual property and license

12.1 Content, text, graphics, software, and trademarks are protected by intellectual property laws.
12.2 We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the website and tools for personal use under these Terms. Commercial reuse, copying, reverse engineering, or automated extraction (scraping) is prohibited.

  1. Prohibited use

In particular, you must not:

  • use the service unlawfully or abusively,
  • bypass paywalls or access restrictions,
  • perform automated extraction/attacks (bots, DDoS),
  • upload or transmit malware or otherwise interfere with systems.
  1. Liability

14.1 We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body, or health.
14.2 For simple negligence, we are liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations and limited to foreseeable, typical damages.
14.3 We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of information provided. Use of outputs is at your own risk; the content does not replace professional advice.

  1. Referrals to licensed advisers

15.1 For complex cases, users may be referred to appropriately licensed advisers.
15.2 Any advisory engagement is exclusively between the user and the adviser. Surenest is not responsible for the adviser’s services.

  1. Privacy
Information about personal data processing is available in our Privacy Policy: www.surenest.de/en/privacy-policy

  2. Miscellaneous
17.1 German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). For consumers, this does not affect mandatory consumer protection laws of the consumer’s country of residence.
17.2 If any provision is invalid, the remaining provisions remain effective.
17.3 Jurisdiction: For merchants/legal entities, Berlin is the place of jurisdiction. For consumers, statutory rules apply.
17.4 If there are discrepancies between the German and English versions, the German version shall prevail.
