Surenest UG (haftungsbeschränkt) operates as an insurance broker holding a permit pursuant to Section 34d(1) of the German Trade Regulation Act (Gewerbeordnung – GewO). Its principal area of expertise is health insurance.
As part of its insurance-intermediation services, Surenest offers individual advice and recommendations regarding insurance products. Insurance contracts may be brokered through Surenest UG (haftungsbeschränkt). The relevant insurance company is the contractual partner and risk carrier under the insurance contract; Surenest UG (haftungsbeschränkt) is not itself an insurer.

Where a policyholder refers an eligible dispute to an arbitration body recognized pursuant to Section 214(1), sentence 1, number 2 of the German Insurance Contract Act, Surenest UG (haftungsbeschränkt) is required to participate in the arbitration proceedings pursuant to Section 17(4) of the German Insurance Intermediation Regulation.
The consumer’s right to bring proceedings before the competent courts remains unaffected.
